Jenny
finished with 5 wins and 2 third’s all in the gun dog brace format. Her wins were in 4 different states under different
sets of judges. Her final win came at Grand Lake Beagle Club in Portland, Indiana.
Jenny is a head down very fast
chop mouth dog. She has a unbelievable nose that has been described as freaky by some judges. She can track a rabbit
at a smooth steady pace under any conditions. Brace mates really struggle staying with her under tough conditions. Judges
would sometimes doubt her but given the time she always shows them the rabbit. That is why she has the 5 wins. Good judges
recognize the nose.
We have had 3 AKC Field Champions and many with wins but nothing has ever been able to run day in
and day out like Jenny. She is not without fault but any fault is by far overshadowed by her line running ability.
She is a highly intelligent dog with better than average hunt. It is a rare occasion for Jenny to
lose a rabbit. She always makes our packs run steady and smooth. She is hunted or pleasure run 4 to 5 times a week for her
pleasure and ours.
